At the Institute of Human Genetics, our research covers a breadth of eminent questions within our field.
As such, we have groups with a focus on specific areas such as rare diseases, the identification of disease susceptibility genes, tumor genetics and cytogenetics, liquid biopsies and precision medicine, hereditary tumor syndromes, and clinical teratology.
We conduct much applied research in which our patients and those seeking advice in our genetic outpatient clinic with their questions and needs are at the center of attention.
The aim of our research is to establish accurate diagnoses by applying cutting-edge technologies, monitoring disease courses, and to infer prognoses and treatment options out of genetic data sets using latest bioinformatics pipelines.
Please visit the pages of the individual groups to learn more about our research efforts.
